PROCLAMATION
Alan
T. Kroner was a citizen
who saw his role in life
as more than that of a husband and citizen. He felt
the need
to “become
the changing agent”
for the betterment
of Los Angeles
County, and in both small and large ways, =
he
sought to be a valuable
human relations practicion=
er
whether in
assisting the County Commission on Human R=
elations
or working with the U.S. D=
epartment
of Justice.
Alan
T. Kroner was a bridge-builder
between
diverse
groups of people,
and this became
invaluable in his work as chairperson
of the Human Relations
Mutual Assistance Consortium, and as a member
of the California Association of Hate
Crime Investigators.
While
serving on the
City of Claremont’s
Committee=
on
Human Relations and their
Hate Crime
Human Response
Team, he =
was
credited =
with
responding rapidly to anti-Semitic
hate crimes
just as he had when
Anti-Muslim hate incidents
erupted i=
n the
same city.
Alan
T. Kroner knew
the value=
of
“paying it forward” and his pe=
rsonal
mission was to bring fairness, justice
and love where
there was=
hate
in his community. Whereas
these hum=
an exempl=
ary
qualities will be
deeply mi=
ssed
by those who worked
with him, and those who still benefit
from the human relations
groups he helped
found and whom he devotedly
served, w=
e
now publicly commend his d=
edicated
community service
and extol his virtues
as a model citizen
of Los Angeles
County.
